Soi’s Guesthouse is a super place to stay when you’re in Kyoto! All the hosts were super helpful, giving us recommendation and even helped us out with an office for one in our company. The street is also really peaceful and quiet, but still very close to the old town. Would definitely come back!

Staying here was the best part of my trip. Chieri is an amazing host and I had a great time getting to know some of the locals in the area.

I absolutely loved staying in this renovated traditional machiya house. I now want one of my own 🥰 it was well stocked with everything you could need. Yoko was very kind and responsive. Would love to stay here again.

Increible experiencia en Kioto. Los anfitriones Kenji y Hana son super amables. La casa es enorme y ellos son super discretos por lo que hay mucha privacidad. Lo que mas destaco es la habitacion. No solo es hermosa y amplia, si no que tiene todo para ser super acogedora. La cama tatami tiene una alfombra que se calienta, las luces se pueden dimerizar para que sean mas tenues, la temperatura es super agradable. Les super recomiendo alojarse aqui!

Staying at John’s place in Shiga was an unforgettable experience! John is an incredibly passionate and energetic host, always full of enthusiasm. He and his lovely wife, Rika, made me feel right at home. They even invited me to join their family for a delicious homemade dinner, and Rika kindly provided breakfast as well. Their son, Andre, was also very friendly, and I truly enjoyed our conversations. The house itself is a charming countryside cottage surrounded by beautiful nature, making it a perfect getaway. If you’re visiting Shiga, staying with John is an absolute must! Highly recommended!

宿のおかみさんはとても物腰やわらかく接してくださり、安心した穏やかな宿での時間が過ごせました。 自ら持ってきた食品を温めるため電子レンジを快く使わせてくださり、非常に助かりました。お部屋は綺麗でいて広く、お布団も気持ち良くてぐっすり眠ることができました。宿の目の前には美しいビーチが広がっており、朝晩の散歩が最高です。夜は星が宇宙のように広がっています。

😍Well all comments about Tanaka san and his wife Machiko san are true but can't really describe how this people are simply amazing, wonderful and so generous. The japanese style house is so cozy with everything for us. The Tanaka homemade onsen is so relaxing...even more after a wagyu bbq night with a glass of japanese whisky (thank you Tanaka 😉). Thank you Machiko for your breakfest plenty of love and flavor. Thank you for your help with our laundry. Last comment (more usefull), house is just beside of bus stop (seriously best way to travel in Kyoto). The bus stop is a city bus but also JR bus stop include with many JR and JR west pass.

This guest house is will be the best choice. The host tommy is very kind and mindful. He speaks english very well, so someone who didn't speak japanese will be satified. Also, the domitory bed was very nice. It's cozy and comfotable. And Tommy will give you breakfast If you request. The toast was tasty. I recommend this guest house, you will not regret your choice. Thank you tommy!

Amazing location, right in the middle of Gion, close to all the main sites and Gion train station. Lovely traditional room, spacious and clean, with tatami floors and futons. The host is very friendly and helpful with advice on what to do, and he cooks a fantastic Japanese breakfast. Loved our stay

半夜突发想旅行 刚好还有日本的次签 于是就这么随机的出发了！ 打开Airbnb顺着沿海的位置找名宿,这家是渔民Takumi大叔和家人开的。住客都像食客,说他的餐食做的超好吃,都是当天打捞的海鲜+本土做法。我完全心动！以至于完全忽略了从关西机场到这里要4个多小时的时间。到的时候天都黑了🎣(为了吃上这口 害！ 刚到的时候下起大雨,渔村里冷飕飕但是房间的暖气都已经吹的热乎乎。但是被叫下楼吃晚餐的时候,整个人都暖和了。Takumi准备了一桌子菜,还给我烤了一颗苹果儿🍎感觉自己是樱桃小丸子,被这里的“亲戚”照顾的很好！ 早餐也是不重样的丰盛, 我早上吃不了太多但是都不舍得辜负用心的料理。直到实在吃不下去一条烤三文鱼,Takumi说不用勉强 他帮我吃吧🥢！ 住宿要上一条小山路,Takumi会接我上下山。送我去Goshoen咖啡厅、又在小滨的汤♨️接我。离开名宿的时候我在拍海,一转身他递给我一个装满彩色石头的罐子🫙,他说是在附近的石滩上捡的。这个男人太懂生活和浪漫,他一定生活的好幸福,我也被感染到了✨。 离开前他带我去了小滨的筷子博物馆- 见识了8米多高的吉尼斯记录巨大筷子！还去了古老的街区看江湖时期的小矮房和装有很多本土文化服的若狭博物馆。 一起我都很好,语无伦次了。

J'ai passé un très bon séjour chez Chiaki et Hiro. Ils ont tout fait pour que je me sente bien, ils sont attentionnés et intéressants. La maison est très confortable et mignonne. La cuisine était excellente. Je recommande 🤗

Anfitrião super amigável que nos serviu um pequeno almoço maravilhoso típico japonês. O quarto é muito acolhedor e uma experiência incrível das casas típicas japonesas. Para além disso a localização mesmo perto dos templos e do bairro de Gion é uma grande vantagem. Para quem viaja com malas grandes tem elevador e é possível deixar as malas antes do check in. Super recomendo!

반려견을 데리고 1개월동안 외국으로 여행가보는 건 처음인데다 출발 하기 전 과정도 순탄치 않았기때문에 강아지와 둘이 잘 다닐 수 있을까 걱정을 많이 했었는데, 그런 걱정이 무색하게도 유키에&케빈씨가 이것저것 많이 챙겨주셔서 여행 내내 정말로 즐거웠습니다😊 숙소를 일반적인 맨션이나 호텔로 잡았다면 없었을 추억도 많이 생겨서 너무나 감사하게 생각하고 있습니다! 공항까지, 역까지 여행내내 차로 픽업해주시고 매일 맛있는 식사도 챙겨주셔서 너무 감사했어요 마을의 모두도 친절하고 상냥하셔서 강아지와 함께 일본의 시골을 잔뜩 만끽하고 왔고 사람 많고 번잡한 관광보다 자연과 함께하는 조용하고 여유로운 여행을 더 선호하는 편이라 더더 좋았어요☺️ 새로운 키즈나 하우스도 기대하고 있으니 집의 수리가 끝나게 되면 꼭 초대해주세요💓 두분 다 건강 잘 챙기시고 다시 만나게 되는 날까지 즐거운 일만 가득하시길 바라겠습니다🙇‍♀️🙇‍♀️ 코스모쨩, 히나쨩도 건강하게 잘 지내!!
