great location, super quiet. could use more heating in the winter (bathroom & shower cold), but would totally stay again!

Syun's place is an amazing, modern, and convenient location to stay in Kyoto. It was perfect for our family, and Syun was an excellent host! The accommodation was clean and updated, with all the essentials provided for a comfortable stay. Should we be in Kyoto again , we would definitely book here again!

Wir wurden so freundlich von den beiden empfangen und das Häuschen ist so schön und traditionell eingerichtet! Es war einfach eine tolle Erfahrung! Die Ausstattung ist so toll, vor allem das gemütliche Onsen im privaten Garten war jeden Abend unser Highlight! Alles war sauber und die Nacht war absolut ruhig, obwohl man nur ein paar Gehminuten von berühmten Sehenswürdigkeiten entfernt wohnt. Koji und Eri haben uns Tipps gegeben Fürs Sightseeing und Restaurants empfohlen und für uns einen Tisch reserviert. Das Restaurant war wirklich super klasse! Wir hatten einfach eine tolle Zeit in Kyoto. Wir bedanken uns nochmals ganz herzlich bei den sehr netten Gastgebern, die immer sehr schnell geantwortet haben auf jede Nachricht! Wir empfehlen die Unterkunft auf jeden Fall weiter und würden jederzeit wieder hier übernachten! 😊😊

We absolutely loved this space. It was exactly what we needed after an intensive first week of travel in Japan. We were looking for something similar to a Ryokan but was more private. The large tub was the main reason we booked and it absolutely did not disappoint. It brought us all the zen we needed. The host allowed us to drop our bags early as well so we could explore and come back later for check in. Thank you for this lovely space. We wish we could have stayed more nights!!

séjour très agréable. emplacement idéal proche des commerces, du métro, de la gare. le logement très propre, lumineux, les lits confortables, la salle de bains grande, l endroit est calme bien que proche du centre ville. c est la deuxième fois que nous venons et nous reviendrons. à recommander fortement.

It was such a great first place as an Airbnb and had so much things offered in the house. I would recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking for a Japanese style home to stay in while enjoying Kyoto

We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. Yoshihiro was excellent with communication and very helpful. We received a lovely welcome note and basket of treats. The apartment is spacious with two tables to sit at and a kotatsu which my adult children loved. The kitchen has everything you need although we ate out as there are many restaurants to choose from. There is a nice Nepalese / Indian restaurant close by. There are stairs up to the property and inside, which everywhere in Japan tend to be steeper than the UK. The apartment was clean and tidy and had different towels available, the bedding, (December) was very cosy. The area around is modern with excellent pavements and there are several rail stations close by, JR Shin-Osaka is around a 15 minute walk and we used another closer station about 5 minutes away. We would definitely stay here again if we came to the Osaka area.

It was really close to a train station, about five mins away or less, and multiple convenience stores which helped with snacks after long days. Only thing to note is all three rooms are attached, so to get to the third room you must go through the first and second room. It wasn’t an issue for us but might be for those who want privacy. There was a bright exit sign in the first room which was bothersome the first night but we just covered it with a black shirt the next nights and it was fine. Overall would stay again.

Mio was the best host we've ever had on Airbnb. Her communication was perfect from pre check-in to checkout. Mio came to meet us at the train station and helped us to her beautiful house. We had just got engaged and she had lovely flowers for my fiancée. The house had everything we could need - we felt right at home here. It's a 30 second walk to a well connected subway (less than 5 minutes to Sanjo bridge) and just next to the beautifull Kamagowa River which is great to cycle with the provided bikes. Mio also drove us to the station at checkout which saved us so much time. We will definitely stay here again if we are back in Kyoto. This is a must book house for anyone coming to Kyoto.

The Host was exceptional, She was very warm, friendly and very accommodating. The accommodation is very nice, spacious and homely. The host kindly left amenities which was useful if you got anything. The bathroom is a standout part of the accommodation , especially if You enjoy using a bath. The neighbourhood is beautiful and very peaceful, there are bus and train services nearby. There are a few restaurants within a 5 minute walk however there isn’t much options. You need to travel in to town for more options which is fairly nearby.

My family’s first trip in Kyoto. Everyone enjoyed this traditional Japanese house, we felt we are in a ryokan. The host accommodated with a restaurant reservation and offer a very affordable transportation. Highly recommended. We loved our stays at Yamano.

親族一同で滞在させていただきました。備品が充実しており、大人から幼児まで皆が楽しむことができました。

一戶建的旅居空間很大而且温馨舒適。入住當天我們很晚才到達（晚上10時多才到）但沒想到旅居主人還在等待我們，而且為我們搬行李及打傘，介紹屋內設施。旅居內一應俱全，還有小孩玩具及圖書，還提供很多旅居附近的購物及飲食資訊，寢室很舒適並備有充電插頭，樓梯還裝有小夜燈方便夜間下樓，而且有防滑地毯，洗手間內有毛巾抹手。亦有車位方便自駕人士。意想不到的是竟然有歡迎入住的信，真的非常貼心。性價比非常高，非常適合一家大小，有機會會再次入住，亦會給推介打算造訪大阪的親友。離開時旅居主人夫婦還親自相送！

近くの大学の受験時に息子と癒し要員のワンコと２泊お世話になりました。 広々とした静かな環境で集中することが出来ていたようです。 やはり一番の素晴らしさは大きな檜風呂‼ 息子も朝から窓を開け露天風呂にして身体を温めリラックスしてから出発していました。 私自身も滞在時に何度この素晴らしい檜風呂をよばれたことでしょう。 京都はやはり寒さが厳しいですが、身体が冷えたらすぐに温まりにいける素晴らしいお宿でした。 子どもが試験中の日中は大文字山に登山に行ったり、ポカポカと日の当たる縁側で飲む珈琲が最高でした。 オーナーのJinnさんも暖かく迎え入れてくださり、最後の制服姿のお写真を撮ってくださってとても素敵な記念となりました。 本当にお世話になりました。またお願いします‼

We loved the garden and the traditional Japanese home.

I love this place. The guesthouse is spacious and comfortable, and Yumie and Harufumi are always friendly, helpful and interesting to talk with. The village is quiet, peaceful and off the beaten track, and there is a wonderful ancient forest nearby where you can walk for hours and never meet a soul. Lastly, there are some beautiful old thatched farmhouses in the vicinity. It's like a different country from Kyoto, Osaka, etc. .

We had a lovely stay at this apartment. It was spacious yet cosy, got plenty of light, had a nice street view, was tastefully furnished and fully equiped (we didn’t cool but the kitchen appeared to be well equipped), and spotlessly clean. It was also very convenient to shops, restaurants and public transport, and was a refreshing break from hotel stays. May was very helpful and welcoming (she was even waiting for us on the street when we arrived!).

Can't beat the location if you want to visit Mt. Inari before or after the crowds. Since the grounds are open 24 hours, you can walk over anytime, day or night. And although the shops and shrine facilities are only staffed from about 9am to 6pm, you are free to walk the torii gates anytime, and it's absolutely surreal after dark. Also right next to a nice bridge over a picturesque river, and very close to a 7-11. Inside, the place is very nice, and certainly would stay there again.

Tolle Lage des Hauses, sehr zentral. Shops und Restaurants in der Nähe. Bus- und Bahnhaltestelle ebenfalls sehr gut zu erreichen. Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und ordentlich. Es gab alles, was man brauchte. Gerne wieder!:)

非常满意这次的民宿体验，Harry的房子太优秀了，上下两层，休息和休闲空间分开，配备了投影和音响，房屋内的灯光设计也非常温馨。房子本身是非常传统的日式民居，有一个精致的小院子，同时配置了非常现代化的家电系统，很方便。 Harry本人很nice，来公交车站接我们，还推荐了非常地道的日料，下次来京都会再来住的！

It was an amazing experience to stay in Seizai's house. The house is located not far from the subway and the main Kyoto station. The rooms were clean, the air conditioners worked, and everyone had their own private room and bed. I highly recommend it if you are traveling with friends. The check-in and check-out process was easy. All required instructions are printed in a book, which you can find in the house.

Mitsuo is an exceptional host! He was concerned about us before, during and after our stay. This was the second time we have stayed with Mitsuo. His guesthouse is traditional, i.e., tatami mat flooring in the sleeping area with simple futon mattresses on the matting. This traditional design requires some flexibility on the part of the guest and no issues with guest mobility. The stairs from the first floor to the sleeping area are steep. The ductless heat pumps provided more than adequate temperature control in each room of the house. The washing machine was a bonus. Mitsuo responded to all requests within 20-30 minutes, day or night. The nearest rail station (Nishioji) was a 10-minute walk from the house. An Aeon Mall is only about 7 minutes walk away. Mitsuo arranged to pick us up at the Kyoto station and delivered us back to Kyoto station at the end of our 2.5 week stay. We just had a great time and would not hesitate to return for a third visit.

The pictures don’t do this spot justice. The unit was clean and quite spacious for a Japanese home. Located in a quieter neighborhood, additional amenities such as a washer and balcony for hang drying are available as well.
