Soi’s Guesthouse is a super place to stay when you’re in Kyoto! All the hosts were super helpful, giving us recommendation and even helped us out with an office for one in our company. The street is also really peaceful and quiet, but still very close to the old town. Would definitely come back!

We had a wonderful time staying at Chieri’s home. It’s the ideal spot if you’re looking to escape the busy tourist zones and enjoy some peace and quiet. The place is perfectly communicated with other cities, making it easy to explore the region. Chieri is an amazing host, and staying here gave us a truly authentic taste of Japanese culture. Thank you!

Yoko was the sweetest and most responsive host. Her place was clean, homey, and it felt like a step back into time. She even left fresh strawberries in the fridge for us! The area is quiet and it’s walking distance to the metro and other shops. It’s a good place to land when exploring Kyoto. The only negative was that we had to pay an additional accommodation tax that I never saw anything mentioned about. However, I might have missed that somewhere. I don’t know that it takes away, but you should be warned that there will be additional fees.

It was my first time visiting Kyoto, and staying at Kenji-san's Hana House was truly a unique experience. Living in a traditional Kyoto house allowed us to experience life like a local and learn new things along the way. The location is in a very quiet community—though it was a bit of a walk to the station, it was a pleasant one. Although we had limited time to spend with Kenji-san, he was always ready to help when needed and generously shared his experiences as a true artist through his beautiful artworks. Highly recommended!

Staying at John’s place in Shiga was an unforgettable experience! John is an incredibly passionate and energetic host, always full of enthusiasm. He and his lovely wife, Rika, made me feel right at home. They even invited me to join their family for a delicious homemade dinner, and Rika kindly provided breakfast as well. Their son, Andre, was also very friendly, and I truly enjoyed our conversations. The house itself is a charming countryside cottage surrounded by beautiful nature, making it a perfect getaway. If you’re visiting Shiga, staying with John is an absolute must! Highly recommended!

Thankyou so much Tanaka San and Machiko San. We had the best time starting here, it felt like we were staying at my parents house and were made to feel so welcome. After a long journey from London via Tokyo the sight of Tanaka San at the station with a huge smile and outstretched arms was just wonderful. We loved breakfast every morning in the cosy kitchen prepared by Machiko San. Our room was great, with lots of places to put things and the location was lovely too, up in the hills in a residential area with easy access to the city via bus. Tanaka San was super helpful of the bus routes and much more dependable than Google maps... Make sure you make time to have a chat with him in the morning about your plans and he'll sort you out with clear instructions... We LOVED the map and buses! We were so sad to leave them and could have stayed much longer. Thank you both x

We had a great time in Tsukito ryokan! It is a perfect place for couples where you can experience classic washitsu. The hosts were really helpful and super friendly! I would like to recommend this place very much!

극성수기라서 숙소가 조금 비싸지만 4층의 경우 창밖으로 보이는 노을뷰가 아주 예뻐서 만족스러움. 도라에몽에 나오는 노진구 방을 생각하면 될 것 같아요. 아기자기한 가정집 같은 숙소를 원한다면 추천 드립니다. 매트리스 얇다는 후기를 보고 2장씩 깔아달라고 부탁드렸는데 친절하게 미리 세팅해주셨습니다. 사장님이 한국어는 못하시지만 간단한 영어와 바디랭귀지 정도로 소통이 가능합니다. 아 물은 기본적으로 포트에 채워져 있지만, 냉수가 필요하다면 직접 사와야합니다. 어메니티로 있는 녹차는 개인적으로 료칸에 비치된 것보다 조금 더 고소하고 맛있었습니다. 교토에 오면 또 생각날 숙소입니당.

Mein Aufenthalt bei Miyagon war großartig. Ich wurde vom Bahnhof abgeholt und es gab einen gut organisierten CheckIn. Die Unterkunft war sauber und genau wie in der Beschreibung. Zusätzlich standen kostenlose Getränke und Snacks zur Verfügung. Es gab jeden Morgen super leckeres Frühstück, teils mit lokalen Früchten die ich zuvor noch nie gegessen hatte. Miyagon selbst war super freundlich, immer gut erreichbar und hat mir ganz viele nützliche Tipps für die Reise gegeben. Dank eines Übersetzungsgeräts, welches Sie immer bei sich hatte war die Verständigung ebenfalls einfach. Das Haus befindet sich direkt an einer Straße die voller Sakurabäme ist. Zudem sind unmittelbar in der Umgebung viele Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Das einzige was ich schade fand ist, dass ich die Unterkunft nicht für eine längeren Zeitraum gebucht hatte.

반려견을 데리고 1개월동안 외국으로 여행가보는 건 처음인데다 출발 하기 전 과정도 순탄치 않았기때문에 강아지와 둘이 잘 다닐 수 있을까 걱정을 많이 했었는데, 그런 걱정이 무색하게도 유키에&케빈씨가 이것저것 많이 챙겨주셔서 여행 내내 정말로 즐거웠습니다😊 숙소를 일반적인 맨션이나 호텔로 잡았다면 없었을 추억도 많이 생겨서 너무나 감사하게 생각하고 있습니다! 공항까지, 역까지 여행내내 차로 픽업해주시고 매일 맛있는 식사도 챙겨주셔서 너무 감사했어요 마을의 모두도 친절하고 상냥하셔서 강아지와 함께 일본의 시골을 잔뜩 만끽하고 왔고 사람 많고 번잡한 관광보다 자연과 함께하는 조용하고 여유로운 여행을 더 선호하는 편이라 더더 좋았어요☺️ 새로운 키즈나 하우스도 기대하고 있으니 집의 수리가 끝나게 되면 꼭 초대해주세요💓 두분 다 건강 잘 챙기시고 다시 만나게 되는 날까지 즐거운 일만 가득하시길 바라겠습니다🙇‍♀️🙇‍♀️ 코스모쨩, 히나쨩도 건강하게 잘 지내!!

Le logement était très bien. Il ressemblait aux photos. L'hôte était très réactif. L'hôte nous préparait le petit-déjeuner à l'heure qu'on souhaitait. De plus, l'hôte est venu nous chercher. Nous avons été très bien reçus et avons passé un très bon moment. Merci beaucoup.
