Join me for a chef-led restaurant tour, cooking demo, and smoked meat tasting. • You'll be welcomed with a splash of sparkling wine (if you're age 21 or older), and then I'll lead you on a tour around the restaurant and our smoke room, which is not open to the public. • In our kitchens, I'll demonstrate some chef techniques and skills as I cook up a few classic dishes, taking you step by step through the cooking process and showing you how we plate the dish for maximum appeal. • You won't just get to feast with your eyes! Sunrise balloon ride over Napa Valley’s vineyards

As the sun rises over Napa Valley, the day begins with an adventure that lifts you high above the rolling vineyards and golden hills. This hot-air balloon ride lets you appreciate Napa’s natural beauty from a bird’s-eye view. • Our journey starts at the V Marketplace in Yountville, where you’ll be welcomed with coffee, tea, and fresh pastries before meeting our experienced pilots for a thorough safety briefing. • After taking our bus to the launch site, you’ll witness the hot-air balloon inflation—a spectacle in and of itself. Snap photos as the giant balloon fills with air, then step into the basket for an exhilarating ascent. • Once airborne, you’ll glide over Napa’s patchwork of vineyards, winding roads, and charming estates. Your pilot will share insights about the valley’s history, winemaking heritage, and notable landmarks along the way. • Depending on the wind’s direction, we’ll touch down at a safe landing spot in Napa, where our crew will be waiting. After exiting the balloon, we’ll hop back on the bus for a scenic ride back to the V Marketplace. Whether it’s your first flight or a tradition, you’ll leave with a heart full of wonder and a camera roll full of aerial shots.

I created this tour to showcase the craftsmanship, creativity, and storytelling behind Napa’s best nonalcoholic drinks. Whether you're sober-curious, taking a break from alcohol, or simply looking for something new, this experience offers an insider’s look at the evolving zero-proof movement in California’s Wine Country. • We’ll start at Napa Yard, where you’ll sip a handcrafted mocktail and enjoy curated appetizers from its head mixologist. • From there, we’ll take a short walk to Jeffries General for a speed round tasting, where you’ll sample a selection of innovative nonalcoholic beverages—from adaptogenic and functional drinks to hemp-based infusions. • Next, we’ll head to Wilfred’s Lounge, Napa’s premier tiki bar, to enjoy a tropical mocktail and light bite in a lively setting. • Our final stop is Oxbow Public Market, where you can explore artisan vendors and specialty food stalls before wrapping up just steps from our starting point. Arriving at my studio just 3 miles from highway 1 in Mendocino and I will give you a brief tour of the shop and describe the equipment we will be using and some safety guidelines. Guests will be able to choose a piece of sea glass from my large collection and we will get to work on making a sterling silver pendant. Guests may participate in whatever part they want to and can always just watch if they are not comfortable with any aspect of the process. The first step is making a bezel, then filing and soldering it closed. Then we reshape it around the seaglass and saw out a piece of sheet to solder it to. After we solder the bezel to the sheet we will saw out the edges and then file the edges and buff with the flex shaft. Then we will solder the jump ring to the pendant and then solder another ring that will be for sliding onto a chain or leather necklace. We will scrub the silver with a wire brush and soapy water to create a matte finish and set the sea glass into the setting using special tools. I will provide a cool suede or silk sliding necklace to put it on or they can purchase a chain if they prefer, or bring your own chain. All throughout the lesson I will be giving them information about what they are doing and why. This is a great introduction to jewelry making and you may find that you love the process. Each guest will pay for wine tasting at the winery destinations.

Cours privé de poterie

After being introduced to the space and to each other, I will provide a quick demonstration on the wheel with a small amount of clay. Afterwards, each guest will be allowed time to create one piece on the wheel from beginning to end with personal instruction and assistance from me. Guests are welcome to make anything they would like to on the wheel! Cup, bowl, vase, dish, etc. (Please Read)The firing of pottery is a long process that is separate from the time we spend on the wheel. Each piece requires a two day long firing process in a kiln, and I hand glaze each piece. I offer kiln services out of my personal studio if you have interest in having your piece fired for a *small fee that is not due the day of the experience.* I do not include this in the price of the experience because some guests do not wish to keep their piece. Wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting some clay on. Clay will wash out, but you may not want to go out right after. The time noted on the experience, 2 hours, is generally descriptive of a 2 person experience which encompasses the majority of my bookings. In general, the experience is 1 hour per person. If there are 3 or 4 people in the booking, likely the experience will extend the 2 hour session time, and if there is 1 person in the booking it will be closer to an hour.

Let the Adventure Begin! Your wine country experience kicks off in style! Your personal driver will arrive at your pick-up location (provided when booking) and greet you with a celebratory splash of sparkling wine. Cheers to the adventure ahead! Light snacks and plenty of water will be available to keep you fueled and hydrated as you head toward the wineries. Next Stop: Wine Country! We’ll typically visit 2-3 hand selected wineries (depending on timing and your Airbnb location). At one of these stops, you’ll enjoy either a food and wine pairing or a charming picnic lunch. Picnic Lunch Options If you choose the picnic lunch, you can opt for something casual or more elaborate, based on your preference. Please note, food for the picnic lunch is not included in the price of your experience. A menu will be provided ahead of time so you can make your selection. We’ll take care of the ordering, pick-up, and set up a beautiful picnic at the winery with dinnerware and fun décor. A Few Quick Reminders... Wineries require reservations (which we’ll handle for you) and a credit card for booking. An itinerary with details about each winery will be sent to you before your experience. Sit Back & Relax After your final winery stop, your driver will safely return you to your vacation home, giving you time to reflect on a day well spent. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Join us for a day at the sanctuary and meet a variety of rescued farmed animals. We'll share their stories of resilience and healing and also talk about the industries they come from. You'll love meeting our animal ambassadors and may be surprised at what you learn since we so rarely see the animals in our food system. The Experience will last approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Please be mindful that, as a sanctuary for rescued animals, our priority is the physical and emotional wellbeing of the animals who call Charlie's Acres home. Our animal residents are completely free and always have a choice whether or not they interact with visitors. They will reside at the sanctuary for the rest of their lives, where we'll have the honor of taking care of them. **Families with young kids are strongly encouraged to book a private group to better allow us to adjust the pacing and content of the tour.** We operate under current Sonoma County COVID-19 safety guidelines, and protocol is subject to change. Tours are available in French or Spanish by request. Note that we do not allow visitors to bring dogs onto the premises. The only exception is service dogs required to assist with a disability; in that case, please contact us to arrange a private tour. Don't see a time that works for you? During this class you will learn and hands-on do all the steps to make a beautiful artisan-quality loaf of sourdough bread both with and without the hassle of making a sourdough starter. You will taste a number of different variations of the bread, and learn how to make those variations as well. You will leave with a warm loaf of bread to take home, and sourdough starter if you wish. If baking has always intimidated you, this is a great class for you, as you will leave here with the confidence to DO IT!! Other things to note Even if you have never baked bread before, you will leave with all the skills you need to do this at home, including a list of equipment and ingredients. If you are able to travel with it, we will provide you with some fresh lively sourdough starter to take home. This cannot go on airplanes.

Promenade ornithologique

No binoculars? No problem! We've got you covered with quality binoculars and a high-powered spotting scope to bring those birds up close! We want to help beginners get out and appreciate the bird world. Don't be shy if you've never birded before - that's what we're here for! (All experience levels are welcome though.) You'll meet us for a slow meander along Sonoma County's bucolic West County Regional Trail in Sebastopol. There, we'll look at, listen to, and identify a variety of songbirds, woodpeckers, raptors, and much more. Time allowing, we’ll walk 1 mile to a water treatment pond for a chance to see some duck species before birding our way back (a flat, paved 2-mile roundtrip). We’ll send you home with a paper checklist of the species we observed throughout our walk. And, if you're on eBird, we will share the day's checklist with you. We guarantee you'll leave with an increased appreciation of the bird life that surrounds us! If there are any specific birding skills you'd like to focus on improving (visual ID, birding by ear, etc.), let us know and we'll be happy to tailor the walk to your interests. If you don’t see a time that fits your schedule, or if you're a group larger than 6, contact us and we’ll try to accommodate you! PLEASE NOTE: There are no restrooms at this location.

The Experience will last approximately 2 1/2 to 3 hours. We will bike on our local country roads while enjoying stops in vineyards, walking through 160 year old wine caves and even, during the harvest season, we enjoy tasting the grapes and testing the sugar levels. All our experiences are geared towards each small group's needs and wants. We will enjoy a private lunch at one of the wineries, a behind the scenes cheese tasting and more. The wineries we pick are diverse and the route is designed to show our guests what Sonoma has to offer. Other things to note Our locally guided experience includes the lunch, waters, and the behind the scenes cheese tasting and tour but does NOT include the tasting fees which typically run between $35-45 average per winery.
